I can’t believe Christmas is finally upon us! I’ve commented on a few of my favorite Christmas mantels in the hopes it inspires you as you begin your holiday decorations! Since your fireplace is usually where everyone gathers, you’ve got to have an amazing mantle. Here are a few below:
Merry and Bright
This simple, yet fun, mantle brings so much cheer to the room with all the bright colors. I love how it ties in the garland with the candles, and it even has an amazing sign as well! For a tutorial on how to make a tassel garland look no further. Tassel Garland
I love the use of the muted, non-traditional color pallet on this mantel! They have kept things simple by using different types of trees to dress up the mantel. Another idea that would be just as easy, especially if you aren’t able to have a large tree, is to use different ornaments in various colors to line the mantel with.
If you are more a classic Christmas type of person, this mantel is for you! They kept true to the classic red, white, and green color scheme. This mantel uses a lush green garland and dressed it up with red-and-white decor. For added height and texture, they added red trees on either side of the mirror. The additional touch of the ice skates, garland, and snowflake lights rounds out the mantel to augment the holiday spirit.
All Things Gold
If you’re not the type of person to go all out, but want a little bit of Christmas Cheer in the house, this next one is for you. A palette of white, gray and gold helps the mantel blend the seasonal decor with the room’s year-round decor for a more-subtle decorated mantel. This is a particularly great example of how to style your mantel if you are listing your house this season.
To keep up with the Farmhouse trend (thanks Joanna), here are a couple of my favorite Farmhouse mantels. They have kept these mantels casual yet impactful. In the first mantle listed below, they added a live greenery garland to go along with their year-round decor.
We’d love to see what you’re doing with your mantels this Holiday season!
